what is fret cut lettering?
Fret Cut lettering is when the lettering or design on a sign is cut out in relief – so it sits slightly lifted off the main surface. This can be done as part of a larger sign, with individual letters/shapes installed on studs directly onto a surface to create a clean, bold message, or with the letters sitting flush against the surface using high quality VHB tape. You can also pair fret cutting with other effects, such as halo lighting to create illumination and make it eye-catching even in the dark.
As sign manufacturers we can create fret cut letting and shapes for almost any purpose and in a wide variety of materials, including acrylic, Perspex, aluminium, PVC foam, MDF, veneered plywood and even self-adhesive vinyl.
