What Does Being A Di-noc Installer in London Mean?

Here at Signwrite Studios, we are dedicated to continually developing our skills to ensure the highest standards to our customers. A big part of that is being part of a well-established network of installers that have met the criteria set by 3M, which helps us ensure high quality and consistency of application for your project. We use specialist materials to produce printed graphics & vinyl wraps suitable for smooth and coarse surfaces. 3M™ DI-NOC films is an extensive range of films that meet both creative & restyling finish design ideas.

What is architectural wrapping?

Architectural vinyl wrapping is the process where an existing surface (flat or even 3D) is covered in a self-adhesive film. The type of material needed will depend on the surface you’re wrapping, and there are a wide range of options available.

Take almost any surface space and glass-built area you have and give it a makeover quickly and easily, with any new look you need. From sandblasted glass and woodgrain, block colours and metal to leather and marble. There are over 1k patterns, finishes & colours to choose from across the ranges, giving you endless design options, designed to look and feel like the real-life materials. The only limit is your imagination.

What are the benefits of Architectural Wrapping?

Replacing interior designs and structures can be incredibly expensive, but with this solution it no longer needs to be out with the old and with the new. As we are all encouraged to be greener and look at a more sustainable future, architectural film encourages an alternative solution instead of always replacing what’s already there. Saving on both materials and labour costs, avoiding needless waste going to landfill. Architectural film brings new perspective to try and renew, revitalise & regenerate.

The 3Ms range of films can achieve the creative look you want, enhance property spaces, meet glass safety regulations, and include solar films to help reduce energy costs too! Their range is both cost-effective, durable & is fire resistant.

Why did we do this?

We love everything vinyl wrapping can offer, using it to bring spaces & surfaces to life. We’ve applied wraps over the years to many different surfaces: vehicles, walls, lockers, cloakrooms, counters, kitchens, bars to name just a few. Vinyl can truly transform buildings both on the exterior & interior. The feedback we receive from our customers drives us on to achieve more, which is why we chose to pursue a 3M installer status. The architectural film market is rapidly growing thanks to the vast number of materials now available.

We enjoy researching, practising & educating ourselves – loving nothing more than be able to help our customers and present you with the highest quality material choices for your project. Ensuring a safe & insured installation.

How did we become a 3M accredited installer?

With the support and guidance of the William Smith Group 1832 and their Architextural division, Ben attended a comprehensive two-day 3M™ DI-NOC™ training course. We successfully completed the written & practical assessments, putting us amongst some of the elite fitters in the UK.

  • Training covered the skills and knowledge necessary to apply DI-NOC in an interior design setting; completion of the training will allow participants to confidently complete DI-NOC applications using appropriate materials, tools and techniques.
  • Applications included, but was not limited to, flat surfaces, door wrapping, complex curves, corners and more.
  • Supplemental topics included Surface Preparation, Installation Considerations, Maintenance, and Repair
  • The two-day test comprised of a written and hands’ on test that assesses participants’ competency in DI-NOC application
  • After successfully completing the two-day test, we earned the 3M Endorsed DI-NOC Installer designation.

Demonstrating that we don’t just say what we do, we are confident in being able to use and understand the materials & application techniques taught to us at a high level of finishing, that helps us stand out.
